In this tutorial, we will show you step by step how to create and create a bootable USB flash drive from a Windows 10 Mac OSX.DMG image file (sometimes called flash drive/pen drive) so that you Put it on an Apple computer running Mac OSX (Macintosh) and launch it to start a Mac installation without the need of another Mac computer. After formatting your USB storage, you won't be able to see any file system recognized by Windows because it will probably be in HFS format, but don't worry, you can see, boot up and install it on a Mac.

Step 1: Go to Applications >> Utilities >> Disk Utility and click on it to launch the program. Step 2: On the left you will see all available units. Insert the USB drive and notice how it appears in this list.
Step 3: Now open a Finder window and locate your DMG file. Drag it under the. Start the application and insert a USB drive into a free USB slot on your computer.
Step 2: You can import the DMG file directly by clicking "Burn" on the toolbar or by going to Tools > Burn. In the Burn window, select the DMG file in the Source File section. Run PowerISO and insert a blank or rewritable optical disc into the drive. Click the Record button on the toolbar or select the Tools > Record menu. PowerISO displays the DMG Burner dialog.
Click the "Browse" button to select the DMG file you want to burn. Drag the DMG file to the desktop or any folder in Finder. Double-click the transferred file to launch it on Mac. 14 Right-click the DMG file If you don't need to use the file again, right-click the DMG file on the USB flash drive and select Move to Trash.
Open Disk Utility and drag the DMG file to the left sidebar. If you are burning to a DVD, insert the DVD, select the disc image in the sidebar and click the Burn button. Proceed to the last step to use it. If you want to record Lion on a USB stick, plug it in.
Launch the app and insert a USB drive into your computer. Step 2 Directly import the DMG/ISO file by clicking "Burn" on the toolbar. Step 3: In the Burn window, select the DMG/ISO file from the Source File section.
Step 4 You can change the settings to adjust the recording speed. The default value is set to the maximum, so you can reduce it. If the device name is wrong, you can click the "Change" button to select the correct device.
Then click the "Browse" button to add the .dmg file to the program. Step 4: When the DMG file has been loaded from your local hard drive, click the "Write" button to start writing the DMG file to the USB drive. Run AnyBurn and click "Write image file to disc". 2. The Write Image File page is displayed.
You can select the source DMG file by clicking the "Browse" button. However, native support for DMG files is only available on Apple's desktop operating system. For Windows or Linux you need to use different methods. For example, if you want to burn a DMG file to USB on a Mac, it's as easy as using the built-in Disk Utility. On Linux and Windows you obviously have to go a different route.
Step 3 Create a bootable USB stick from the macOS installation image. Click "Load DMG" to import your DMG file into the program. Insert a blank DVD and click Burn on the DVD option to burn the DMG to disc. In three simple steps, your bootable DVD is ready.
In the Burn Disc To: window, click Burn. The Disk Utility progress window opens and the burning process begins. When the burn is complete, the disc will eject from the drive and the Disk Utility progress window will display a message that the image was burned successfully.
click OK. dd if=/path/toimage.iso of=/dev/driveidentifier. The above command will burn the ISO to USB on the drive you specified.
However, this method may seem complicated for some users. You can move on to the next solution if you find it complicated.
